What I will be doing when I die

Oakhill Cemetery, in Sterling MA,  is located on Clinton Rd, just outside the center of Town and on the left as you head east towards Clinton on Route 62.

It was first established in approximately 1858. There are crypts/mausoleums guarding the entrance.

Jennie A. Welch
There is a local legendary spirit who is visited by many.
Do you think that we just cease to exist or do you think as I do that spirits live on in the heart and minds of others? Some people go further in that they believe they are alive as a separate life force. Is that religious? Sometimes but not necessarily.  I do not necessarily believe that I will be living in the clouds (or heaven or hell) with people of similar religious beliefs.
I would rather believe that our minds get to experience our surroundings and mingle with the similarly located. Maybe the spirits sing and dance. Maybe some are less jovial and maybe not quite content.

I think I will be content. The journey to get there might be a bit of a bumpy ride. It usually is. Having been through these journies with my parents and grandparents who are already in this place have taught me that. The best we can hope for is to live the life we want until it is time to go and that the passing will be as short as possible.
This is where I will be for eternity. Atop a hill with a great view.

My View in the fall
This is a cropped view. The plot is quite large as is the family and historically is here from a back long ways. Click for history.
